MORE THAN JUST COMICS- Amazing Comic Con Aloha is your spot in Honolulu for Anime and Gaming too!
Amazing Comic Con Aloha has traditionally been known for bringing the best comic book talent and Top Media Guests to Hawaii. This has been true with folks like Stan Lee and William Shatner serving as previous headline guests. Over the last several outings however Amazing Comic Con Aloha has expanded the crossover of pop culture to include more of the top names in Anime and Gaming. We believe our pop culture events should be inclusive, and provide something for everyone!
At next week’s show in Honolulu, here are some of the great people you will be able to meet, along with some of the cool events inside of the Amazing Comic Con Aloha in Hawaii!
MY HERO ACADEMIA
Funimation and VIZ booths rocked the floor at San Diego Comic Con just a few short weeks ago, and now the excitement comes to the fans of Hawaii! JUSTIN BRINER will be featured at the event- he voices the lead character DEKU. Look for the MHA Panel on SUNDAY August 26 at 11am.
Joining Justin at this panel will be a another favorite from the world of Anime- MIKE MCFARLAND. Mike has voice credits on My Hero Academia as well but he may be best known as Master Roshi from DragonBall. Other credits include Jean Havoc in Full Metal Alchemist, Buggy the Clown from One Pice, and Jean Kirstein in Attack on Titan. Mike is also a veteran director on many classics including DragonBall, FullMetal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, Evangelion, and more.
My Hero Academia just released a trailer for a movie, coming to theatres in September- MHA: TWO HEROES. One of the other guests we announced early in the spring KIETH SILVERSTEIN will be in this as well! Keith is known for his work on video games such as Street Fighter, Sonic Hedgehog, and League of Legends. He plays Hawk Moth on Miraculous Lady Bug, and is Hunter X Hunter.
OVERWATCH
The Video Game Phenomenon that has launched world professional sports leagues, apparel, comic books, toys and more! Amazing Comic Con Aloha is pleased to bring a number of actors from the series including Keither Silverstein- mentioned above who plays Torbjorn. CHLOE HOLLINGS plays the popular Widow Maker, and LUCIE POHL is Mercy. There is an Overwatch Fan Meet up taking place on SATURDAY AUGUST 25 at 5pm.
EVEN MORE GAMING at AMAZING COMIC CON ALOHA!
There’s something for EVERYONE at Amazing Comic Con Aloha- the #1 Pop Culture Event in Hawaii. While folks like TARA STRONG have a number of voice acting credits, such as Batman Arkham Asylum and many more, there are some other people you will certainly want to meet. We have the most well known video game character of all time meeting fans throughout the weekend- the Voice of Nintendo’s MARIO- CHARLES MARTINET. Come and play video games on the BIG SCREEN at the Main Theatre Room- MARIO KART sessions will occur on FRIDAY AUGUST 24 and Sunday AUGUST 26. Voice Actress BONNIE GORDON and others will host Street Fighter Sessions on FRIDAY as well.
VIDEO GAME ART
As a special Bonus Amazing Comic Con Aloha also presents the artists behind these great games to the fans of Hawaii. Be sure to check out our trio of UDON Artists Joe Ng, Chamba, and Long Vo. Each have worked extensively for CAPCOM- STREET FIGHTER both games and comics, with Joe & Chamba also working on OVERWATCH for BLIZZARD too. Further Special Guest Andy Park- promoted primarily for his work on the Marvel Films- has been the initial comic artist of TOMB RAIDER, GOD OF WAR, and more. Each of these artists are scheduled to appear at Amazing Comic Con Aloha in Honolulu on each of the three days of the conventions- August 24-25-26 in the artist alley.

AMAZING COMIC CON ALOHA is Hawaii’s premiere Pop Culture Fan Fest, taking place in Honolulu at the end of AUGUST 24-25-26.
