AMAZING COMIC CON ALOHA BRINGS HAWAII MORE TALENT, COMIC GUESTS for 2020 Pop Culture Event!
Amazing Comic Con Aloha is marching into the new year, expanding our guest list. While we will be spotlighting more great names from Pop Media, Cosplay, and More coming to Honolulu- Amazing Comic Con believes that the heart of our events will be on the talent who create our favorite comics. Amazing Comic Con is proud to welcome the following guests for their first professional visit to Hawaii, as well as fan favorites returning!
JIM CHEUNG is a top freelance penciler and cover artist. He is best known for being a part of the original YOUNG GUNS innitative at Marvel Comics where his work became a key blue print element of the MCU. He contributed art chores to NEW AVENGERS ILLUMINATI, and co-created the YOUNG AVENGERS franchise with breakout star Kate Bishop. He kicked off the modern INFINITY mega series event, as well as launched the star studded AVX.
At DC Comics, Jim Cheung launched the most recent incarnation of JUSTICE LEAGUE and the new series for LEGION. One of the highest profile books of 2019 was DC YEAR OF THE VILLAIN Special, chich Cheung pencilled, including a Batman Who Laughs Variant. Most recently he has contributed covers for Dynamite series for JAMES BOND, and revisits his Marvel Work with interior pages and incentive covers to INCOMING. Originally from England, Jim Cheung makes his first professional appearance in Honolulu, Hawaii at Amazing Comic Con Aloha
JOE BENITEZ makes his first official trip to Honolulu, Hawaii for Amazing Comic Con Aloha! He is one of the most talented creators to break out of Top Cow Studio System where he epncilled fan favorite runs of Darkness, Magdalena, Weapon Zero, Marvel Crossovers and more. At DC Comics, he provided art on Justice League and Titans.
His independant work is perhaps his trademark, blending Steampunk Genre with classic action, and horror elements in his LADY MECHANICA which he publishes to this day.
RYAN KINCAID is a fan favorite artist on the comic con circuit and returns to Honolulu, Hawaii with his partnership with Amazing Comic Con Aloha. 2019 proved to be a huge year in his career working as a cover artist on best selling titles such as Joker, Harley Quinn, Batman Superman, and more. Ryan’s independant load has increased as well with number of credits that are as diverse as Vampirella, White Widow, Riverdale, Fathom, and more.

Amazing Comic Con Aloha will be opening our doors at the Hawaii Convention Center in just a few short weeks in 2020 on February 21-22-23.
